New Year, New Me?

New Year, New Me?

With the ringing in of every new year comes a plethora of resolutions and “New Year, New Me” vows. Though many of these will have failed miserably by the first two weeks of January, the sentiment behind the efforts is certainly a positive one. At SpeedStitch, we are no different; we make fresh targets and aim to keep moving forward with each new year. As a company that specialises in personalised embroidered and printed clothing, we also get to play a part in individuals’ and other business’ resolutions – in keeping with the “New Year, New Me” theme, it is fascinating to see the number of “New Year, New Image” efforts made by so many companies.

New Year is a perfect time for a company to refresh its image. At SpeedStitch we can help in so many ways. From new business set-ups who need advice with designing a company logo suitable for embroidery or print, to established businesses that simply want to smarten up their image with new branded work clothing, SpeedStitch are happy to help.

A change of company logo can be daunting, particularly for a brand that is well established and recognised by its logo. However, the fear of lack of recognition is almost always overshadowed by the attention new branding and a new image attracts. Huge organisations like Facebook and Google, with their iconic branding and instantaneously recognisable logos, have applied the subtlest of changes to their logos over the years. A simple change of font or colour can instantly freshen up your look and give your company branding a more contemporary feel. Many of our corporate customers opting for a fresh new look adopt a similar approach. We have noted simple changes to their company logos over the years which have proven to be very effective. With a change can be a relaunch or celebration of some sort. Occasionally businesses call on the opinion of their customers for ideas, making customers feel like they matter.

Another change we have noted in past years is a shift from the classic embroidered or printed t-shirt, polo shirt or sweatshirt as a company uniform, to a shirt and tie combination. At SpeedStitch we have seen an increase in demand for bespoke ties and embroidered shirts which make for a clean, smart new image. Within our clothing catalogue (available online) there is a vast array of formal wear with shirts and blouses of all sizes and fits to suit every shape and size. Many companies feel that this portrays a more professional look and where this attire is not necessarily practical for all industries on an everyday basis, investing in this style of uniform for various conventions, meetings and exhibitions can certainly help to promote the company as one who cares about image which in turn usually indicates they care about the services they provide.
If you need inspiration or advice, or know exactly what you need to freshen up your image as a business and want to get started with your workwear or uniform, get in touch with us today. We look forward to working on the many new designs over the coming months.

Wishing you all a very happy and successful new year.
