Size Guides

Finding the perfect size

Buying children’s clothing online can be difficult and stressful but we are here to help you make some sense of it all.

There is no one size fits all rule when it comes to children or their clothes, and sizing will differ depending on supplier, material and garment type. The same physical size can be labelled differently depending on the brand. This can cause stress and can make buying school uniform a hassle. With many years of expertise in providing school uniform, we know how important it is, not only to get the perfect fit, but also ensure comfort, style and durability, all of which can be achieved with the correct size.

Our size guides have all the tools and advice you need to get the best size for the essentials of your child’s school uniform.

  • Chest: Measure the chest at the fullest part, placing the tape right up under the arms.
  • Hips: Place the tape measure around the fullest part of the bottom (nearest hip joint).
  • Inside Leg: Measure from the crotch to where the trousers are normally worn, just sitting on the shoe (crotch to ankle).
  • Collar: Measure around the base of the neck where the collar sits. Don’t pulll the tape too tight – you should allow for a little extra room around the neck.
  • Waist: Place the tape measure around the narrowest part, where the garment would normally sit when worn. Take care not to pull it too tight.
  • Skirt Length: Measure from the waist to the length of the skirt desired.
